By now we have all heard the horror stories about people dieing recently from diseases spread from soft-drink can tops that had been contaminated with rodent droppings and urine. Now a man in Ormond Beach , Florida,  has found a rodent inside his diet Pepsi!

The Food and Drug Administration is testing a Diet Pepsi can that a central Florida man claims had the remains of a possible rodent inside. Fred Denegri of Ormond Beach took a few sips from the can on July 23, only later to discover what was inside. He said the rodent was big enough that it wouldn’t come out of the can.

Pepsi officials said Wednesday they traced the can back to the manufacturing plant in Orlando and didn’t find anything wrong with the company’s quality controls and soda sampling. Spokesman Jeff Dahncke said it’s unlikely that something like this could happen during production.

Denegri called poison control after the discovery, but he didn’t become sick. The 55-year-old says he’s a Pepsi fan and will keep drinking it.

Well, he might continue drinking them…  But from now on, I’m strickly a 2-liter person…..

We need to get this guy cloned…….(I checked snopes – it’s true)

SHERIFF JOE IS AT IT AGAIN!
You all remember Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona , who painted the jail cells pink and made the inmates wear pink prison garb. Well…………

SHERIFF JOE IS AT IT AGAIN!

Oh, there’s MUCH more to know about Sheriff Joe!

Maricopa County was spending approx. $18 million dollars a year on stray animals, like cats and dogs. Sheriff Joe offered to take the department over, and the County Supervisors said okay.

The animal shelters are now all staffed and operated by prisoners. They feed and care for the strays. Every animal in his care is taken out and walked twice daily. He now has prisoners who are experts in animal nutrition and behavior. They give great classes for anyone who’d like to adopt an animal. He has literally taken stray dogs off the street, given them to the care of prisoners, and had them place in dog shows.

The best part? His budget for the entire department is now under $3 million. Teresa and I adopted a Weimaraner from a Maricopa County shelter two years ago. He was neutered, and current on all shots, in great health, and even had a microchip inserted the day we got him. Cost us $78.

IDIOT SIGHTING:  We had to have the garage door repaired. The Sears repairman told us that one of our problems was that we did not have a “large” enough motor on the opener. I thought for a minute, and said that we had the largest one Sears made at that time, a 1/2 horsepower. He shook his head and said, “Lady, you need a 1/4 horsepower.” I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4. He said, “NO, it’s not.” Four is larger than two..”
IDIOT SIGHTING:  My daughter and I went through the McDonald’s take-out window and I gave the clerk a $5 bill. Our total was $4.25, so I also handed her a quarter.  She said, “you gave me too much money.” I said, “Yes I know, but this way you can just give me a dollar bill back.” She sighed and went to get the manager who asked me to repeat my request. I did so, and he handed me back the quarter, and said “We’re sorry but they could not do that kind of thing.” The clerk then proceeded to give me back $1 and 75 cents in change.IDIOT SIGHTING:  I live in a semi rural area. We recently had a new neighbor call the local township administrative office to request the removal of the DEER CROSSING sign on our road. The reason: “Too many deer are being hit by cars out here! I don’t think this is a good place for them to be crossing anymore.”    Do not confuse the clerks at McD’s

The AWD had this to say about Henry Louis Gates and his behavior during this recent arrest.

There’s something very fishy about Havard professor of African-American studies Henry Louis Gate’s story about his incident with the Cambridge police this week. He had returned from a trip to China…lots of African American studies to be done over there, ya know..when one of his neighbors saw him go to the back of his house to enter and called the po-po. When the officer asked to speak with him about a report of a possible break-in, Gates exclaimed, “Why, because I’m a black man?” and called the officer a racist, according to the police report. Gates initially refused to identify himself and when he continued to yell at the officer, he was warned about his “tumultuous” behavior and was later arrested, according to the report. I can just see the brova getting his ghetto attitude on and yelling at the officer. Gates denies the officer’s statement but would anyone be arrested..especially in PC Boston…for being courteous and responsive? A more reasonable person might simply say, “Officer, I am the owner of the house and my name is Henry Louis Gates and here is my identification. I thank you for looking after my home.” Nahhh, Gates saw some NAACP time coming if he turned this into a major race story with the help of the mainstream media! And he’ll be able to milk this for years with books, speeches and media appearances with morons on CNN and MSNBC. That’s what it is with these professional race guys…they see racism in everything because it puts money in their pocket! It’s their job to see racism when, in fact, none exists!

OK, people you voted for him now we all have to deal with it for the next 4 years….  Obama showed all through his Presidential champagne his willingness to use both blacks and whites to reach his goal of becoming President of The United States and then toss them aside.  Now he is starting to show his TRUE colors, and they’re NOT RED, WHITE and BLUE!

NATICK, Mass. – A white police sergeant who arrested renowned black scholar Henry Louis Gates Jr. said Thursday he’s disappointed President Barack Obama said officers acted “stupidly,” despite acknowledging he didn’t know all the facts.

Sgt. James Crowley responded to Gates’ home near Harvard University last week to investigate a report of a burglary and demanded Gates show him identification. Police say Gates at first refused and accused the officer of racism.

Gates was charged with disorderly conduct. The charge was dropped Tuesday, and Gates has since demanded an apology from Crowley.

Obama was asked about the arrest of Gates, who is his friend, at the end of a nationally televised news conference on health care Wednesday night.

“I think it’s fair to say, number one, any of us would be pretty angry,” Obama said. “Number two, that the Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home. And number three — what I think we know separate and apart from this incident — is that there is a long history in this country of African-Americans and Latinos being stopped by law enforcement disproportionately, and that’s just a fact.”
